The Australian classic - handmade in Berlin for your enjoyment!

Mostly deep-frozen, sometimes also freshly-baked available in our Berlin Australia Shopping World. Suitable for vegetarians. 

The origin of the lamington is based on a story from 1901.  It claims that a maidservant of the Governor of Queensland Australia, accidentally dropped a sponge cake into a bowl of melted chocolate. Rather than waste the cake, Lord Lamington suggested she cover it in coconut. The lamington remains an Australian favourite and is sold in bakeries, at ‘cake days’ and fetes and enjoyed with a cuppa for afternoon tea.

Ingredients: Butter, flour, milk, sugar, eggs, baking soda, vanilla essence, coconut, salt, cocoa powder, icing sugar.
