A shiraz with deep colour and a bouquet of black forest fruits and chocolate. This is a full bodied wine with soft, velvet tannins and a long finish and while drinking beautifully now it can be cellared with confidence for another 5-10 years if so desired.

Unusually mild cloudy weather gave rise to a softly textured red wine with good varietal definition.
Fruit was fermented on skins for seven days. Following pressing, clarification and blending, the wine was matured in French and American oak hogsheads for 12 months prior to bottling.
Portrait Shiraz is made in the tradition of the very first Peter Lehmann wine, and represents the heart of Peter’s Barossa. Fruit from more than 60 growers across the length and breadth of the Barossa makes up the final blend, affording consistency to the original Peter Lehmann style: robust and generous.
